New Arrival: August '25 Aeroclassics

A few months ago, I put off buying Aeroclassics because of several manufacturing defects and QC issues that put a real damper on collecting from that brand. The August wave was just too enticing. The 707 returns this month, and so does the 'new' 727-200 casting. We also got a nice spread of A310s and Caravelles. I've taken the month off from Day-1 buying from Aeroclassics in June. Recent QC issues have dissuaded me, but I've been able to find some nice models on the second-hand market for a fraction of the recent price hikes Aeroclassics has been asking for. New Arrival: April '25 Aeroclassics

April of 2025 was another interesting month for Aeroclassics. There were nine models featured this month, and all of them were true classics. There were three different casting used, and the 727-200 tooling received a slight upgrade. I selected four models from this month's batch. Aeroclassics has had great momentum lately that goes back to November of 2024. I've been compelled to take a chance on at least 3-4 models per month from the unique model company. After the final set of Aeroclassics in 2024, it was hard to imagine a January '25 set that would rival it. While in my opinion the December set was overall better, the group from January was a real treat. The highlights for me were the Servivensa, and Varig 727s. I'm breaking up the winter doldrums with the first arrivals of 2025! Phoenix models has been producing a very nice, wide variety of airlines over the course of the past year. I've been trying to keep up with them, and that's meant going back for some really nice 767s. Several of these seem to have been produced in quite limited quantities as many have disappeared at most retail stores. Thankfully, Jetcollector.com came through as they usually do. New Arrival: Air Seychelles 767-37DER

The first 1/400 scale model of 2025 has arrived here at Diecast Curio. A beautiful and nicely built 767-300ER from Phoenix Models painted in the most recent Air Seychelles livery. While the 767 collectors market has seen an uptick in 2024 into 2025 with several new castings, the Phoenix version remains the best available at this point in time. For more, read on.
