The real version of this airplane was destroyed by Iraqi solders amid conflict in 1991. The airframe was just past 6 years old when it was destroyed in Bagdad. The 1/1 version was serial number 332. It was build in 1984, and Kuwait Airways was it's only operator. It seems from photographs, she was primarily used on routes to London, Paris, and Zurich. The 1/400 scale replication is a very nice one. The real thing: 9K-AHG on final approach to LHR in June 1986. (Photograph by NJP, Airliners.net) Notes:
I'm glad to report there are few to no production issues with this model. This was a great way to start 2025. The model was part of Aeroclassics December releases. An estimated 150 pieces were produced. There was also a freighter version produced with the same registration, part number AC411197B.
