Gemini Jets, Etihad 787-10: A6-BMA (Flaps Down)

The United Arab Emirates is unique in many ways. The federal semi-constitution monarch is home to over ten million people. It is a rapidly growing region in the Middle East and also supports two airlines that are recognized flag carriers which is rather unique (Etihad and Emirates). Etihad endured significant financial turmoil through much of the 2010s. But now 21 years old, and 97 aircraft strong, the airline is word renowned and has been recognized recently for an impressive turn around. Gemini Jets, Air Australia A320-212: VH-YQC

What ended up being a very short-lived brand, Air Australia also marked the shuttering of its larger parent company that was originally founded as a freight broker. Strategic Airlines began operating in the early 90's, but after the departure of several of the company's top brass in 2011, a last ditch effort to save the operation came in the form of a rebrand. Because most of the airline's assets were leased, the company had very little value. The new name did little to help, and the airline was eventually liquidated.

Gemini Jets, Southwest Airlines 737-7H4: N918WN

In 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019, Gemini Jets released just one 1/400 Southwest Airlines model a year, but in 2020, Four different state flag-based liveries. Three of them, Tennessee, Florida, and this one, Illinois were all regular releases. The fourth, N946WN, a 737-700 painted in a special livery to honor the state flag of Louisiana was a retailer exclusive for airplane shop.com. I wrote about that exclusive model back in 2020. Gemini Jets, Aer Lingus BAE-146: EI-CSL

As far as BAE-146 castings go, this is personal favorite. The Gemini version first saw circulation twice in 2006. It was used eleven (!) times in 2007, and five times in 2008. It has not been used or seen since then. This particular casting has a reputation as being a chronic tail-sitter which may explain why it's been shelved.
