Delta ordered several 767s from Boeing in the 80's and 90's. As of spring 2025, Delta operates 39 of these medium wide body aircraft. This one, N176DZ was delivered to Delta on April 22nd 1999. The airplane is line number 745 and is, at 26 years of age, facing retirement in the coming years. Delta Air Lines plans to have retired the type from their fleet by 2030 entirely. The real thing: Here, N176DZ is seen in motion at Honolulu, Hawaii. The aircraft has been primarily dispatched on trans-Atlantic, and trans-Pacific routes. That model wears the same livery, and also has winglets, except it also includes a special sticker along the nose commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Normandy, D-Day. In my eyes, this is currently the best 767-300WL casting on the market. I own 767-300s from Dragon, Gemini, JC Wings, and Phoenix, and none of those versions are as good as this one. The model benefits from quality construction, the wing-join is beautifully machined, and the other small components are well made. Panda also can take credit for good QC on this model. A small concern is that I believe the colors may be on the darker side of things compared to the real version. This is my 4th Delta 767 and second from Panda. Sources:
