The week of June 29th saw several new and exciting diecast preorder announcements. All three manufacturers received at least one new preorder this week. Also, all three of Nascar's premier series were in action last week at Pocano, so there are three new raced diecast preorders to take a look at as well. The popular news this week came out of the Xifnity series when JRM announced a special partnership with WeatherTeach and Red Bull. Both Connor Zilisch and Shane Van Gisbergen will be racing duel sponsored Camaro's at next week's street course in Chicago, for all of the latest, read on...

Raced Versions

It's been a long time coming for Chase Briscoe. A big move to JGR this year also came with big expectations. The 30-year-old-driver from Mitchell Indian notched his third career win at Pocono, and his first for the primer Toyota supported racing organization. This was race win number 221 for JGR. Briscoe came out on top after a long fuel saving battle with his teammate, Denny Hamlin.

The story of the weekend had to be when Dale Earnhardt Jr., team owner of JR Motorsports, took over as Crew Chief of the number 88 Camaro driven by Connor Zilisch. Kyle Busch who now famously called the move a publicity stunt had to recognize after Zilisch and Earnhardt brought the car to victory lane. This was also the first race and first win for new sponsor, Registix.

Layne Riggs has been knocking on the door all year long. He's a good driver who is also unfortunanltly coming into his own at the same time as Corey Heim. Heim has taken his fair share of trophies this year, but Riggs finally got his first of the season with Bare Knuckle Brawl as a sponsor for the first time. The Front Row Motorsports Truck program continues to be very good.

Standard Versions (Cup)

Chevy:
Just one new Chevy this week, All-Pro Auto Reconditioning will join the ranks of HMS sponsors later this year at both Chicago and Darlington. The All-Pro colors will ride onboard with William Byron and the number 24 HMS Chevy. I'm not overly impressed with this paint scheme, but it does have a sort of early 2000's feel to it.

Ford:
Ford also gets just a single pre-order this week. Joey Logano has taken up the mantle for Hunt Brothers Pizza in the Nascar Cup garage. He's worn both a green and red Hunt Brothers livery in the past. Logano drive this red race car at Michigan in 2025. It's about as simple as it gets, and I hate it.

Toyota:
Three new Camrys are the main focus this week as it pertains to standard Cup liveries. Grillo's Pickles and Sonic both make a big appearance this week on Ty Gibb's car at Atlanta. Denny Hamlin welcomes King's Hawaiian for the first time this year at Atnalta as well, and the Pye-Barker Camry from Legacy Motor Club give John Hunter Nemechek more representation in 1/64 scale as well. Each of these cars look great.

Standard Versions (Xfinity)

The only Xifnity news this week is also big news. Connor Zilish and Shane Van Gisbergen will team up to run dual-sponsored JRM Camaros at the upcoming road race in Chicago. These a bound to be the best selling Xifinty 1/64s of the year, get your order in soon for one, the other or both as Lionel Racing is also offering these cars a set of two. While the SVG livery is a little simple because of a lack of contingency sponsors, both schemes pop.

Notes:
This is an excellent spread for collectors this week. There are a few really epic paint schemes, and the Toyota Cup Camrys are all particularly good looking. Ty Gibbs doesn't get many variant liveries, so this is a great chance to pick up a 2025 representation of him, especially if you haven't ordered the SAIA livery. The most historic cars will be the JRM Camaros as each one of them are both historic, and look awesome. Get those orders in now! That's it for this week's Diecast Update, see you later!
