The real thing: William Byron burns it down after winning the Cook out 400 at Martinsville on April 7th 2024. Byron started the day from the 18th position. He remained mired in the pack until lap 327 when he took the lead. He stayed there until 399, and then won from a G/W/C on lap 415. The car wears a special ruby red livery to commemorate 40 years for Hendrick Motorsports. You can read more about the ruby red liveries that ran at Martinsville here. Notes:
This 1/24 scale replica is chock full of meaningful details. Lionel has really enhanced what is can recreate on the 1/24 moulds. This car, among other features, has scuffed tires, grime from the race, confetti, and even includes the details that were present on the tires and rims at the end of the race. This car will be a lot of fun to do a deep dive on.
