Gold Line: Corey Lajoie '2025 Take 5' Mustang

Most race fans have heard the name Corey Lajoie before, son of the storied Nascar two time Busch Series champion Randy Lajoie. But not many people may remember that Corey bet his children's college fund, on himself, that he would be able to race his way into the Daytona 500. In a partnership with Rick Ware Racing, and sponsorship from Take 5 Oil Change, Lajoie was miraculously able to race his way into the 500. Gold Line: Carson Hocevar '2025 Zeigler 50th' Chevy

It's been a long time since a young driver has caused as much of a stir in the Cup series as Carson Hocevar has in his second year. After demonstrating noteworthy talent and speed as a rookie in 2024, the 2025 season will be one where Hocevar was remembered as a constant belligerent who threatened to both win and wreck on any given weekend. The Zeigler Automotive Group has been dabbling in Nascar for several years. They've forged a strong relationship with Spire, and in 2025, they celebrated their 50th with this paint scheme.

Gold Line: Bubba Wallace '2025 Columbia' Camry

2025 was a good year for Bubba Wallace. He matched his career best in wins, top 5s, and top 10s. He also led 378 laps on the season, the most of his career. Columbia has been a long time supporter of Bubba, even before he joined 23XL Racing. While Wallace is yet to bring Columbia to victory lane as a primary sponsor, they have been an integral part of his growth and success in 2025. Gold Line: Dale Earnhardt Jr. 'Sun Drop' LMSC

Dale Earnhardt Jr. has remained active in the Late Model Stock Car ZMax CARS Tour in 2025. With four races on his schedule, three of them were supported by Budweiser, and one was a continuation of what's been a fun and engaging campaign with Sun Drop soda. Dale Jr. brought his Sun Drop Chevy LMSC to Tri-County Motor Speedway on October 4th 2025. He qualified for the main even starting 24th, and was able to finish 12 on the day. Gold Line: Daniel Suarez '2025 Freeway Insurance' Chevy

Daniel Suarez joined Trackhouse Racing in 2021 as the team began their ambitious launch into the Cup series. Over that period of time, he competed in 180 points paying races, and claimed two wins for the team. Freeway Insurance has been a close partner of Daniel and has been on his car at least once per season since he signed with Trackhouse. When it became clear that Fedex would no longer be Denny Hamlin's main sponsor in Nascar for the 2025 season, it left a void for new partners to take up coveted marketing slots on the JGR No. 11 Camry. Among other new Nascar partners, ampm, a west coast convenience store chain committed to be the primary sponsor of Denny four two west coast races during the 2025 season. Gold Line: Riley Herbst, '25 Sunny D' Camry

Riley Herbst has quietly gone about learning how to race in the Cup series in 2025. After 33 starts, he's got an average starting position of 27th, and an average finishing position of 26th. He's been greatly outperformed compared to fellow rookie, Shane van Gisbergen who has notched five wins, but comparing the two isn't remotely fair. That being said, Herbst has had some good moments, and many strong supporters including Proctor and Gamble who distributes Sunny D.

Ryan Preece has had a respectable 2025 season. HIs debut with RFK Racing has yielded some mixed results and no wins. But there have been some flashes this season that indicate Preece belongs in the Cup series. Early on in 2025, Ryan seemed to be right on the edge of claiming his first win with three top 10's in his first seven starts. He added seven more to this point in the year, but RFK as a whole seems to be just shy of having what they need to make that last step. One of the most storied teams in Nascar history is celebrating its 75th anniversary in style this year. Wood Brother's Racing has been in operation since 1950. Built by brothers Glenn and Leonard Wood, the team is still family owned and operated. This year, Josh Berry and the Wood Brothers have raced a variety of throwback liveries. When Michael McDowell made the move from Front Row Motorsports to Spire Motorsports in 2025, it seemed like a curious decision. McDowell had represented Front Row for many seasons and delivered the organization it's first Daytona 500 title. Moving to Spire seemed like a lateral move if not a bit of a demotion. While McDowell hasn't won a race in 2025, he's still found good pace, and Spire seems to be on the edge of a breakthrough. McDowell has had a very consistent season with only 2 DNFs.
