Tony Stewart made history in 1999. As a rookie in the Cup series, no driver had ever won three races. To this day, just Stewart, and Jimmy Johnson (2002) can claim such a feat. This little model, which was made by Hasbro under the Winner's Circle brand in 2000, features Stewart's '99 Pontiac Grand Prix complete with rookie stripes. Bobby Labonte's 1996 Winston Cup season was a good one. The season can be reflected on by noting consistently strong performances and Labonte scoring his 4th of an eventual 21 career wins in the top level of Nascar. The team, led by crew chief Jimmie Makar, would finish the season 11th in the points right behind Ernie Irvan, and they were able to finish 27 of the 31 races. JGR and Labonte both were showing promise as up-and-comers. Interstate batteries offered a full season of sponsorship.
