Digital render of Elliott's primary sponsor for three races, Amazon Prime. Coinciding with Amazon Prime's foray into Nascar in 2025 the company will activate a three-race primary sponsorship deal with Hendrick Motorsports. Chase will run the Prime car at Talladega in April, and at Kansas, and North Wilkesboro in May. The deal with Amazon actually runs until 2027 and Chase will have Prime onboard for three more races in 2026, and 2027 respectively. Those races have not yet been announced, but presumably, if Amazon continues to broadcast Nascar races, those are the likely weekend that the livery will return. Notes:
While the car hasn't made its debut yet, this is one of those rare occasions where Lionel and HMS are able to get a product to the market before the real thing appears on track. This rare occurrence illustrates how rapidly Lionel and the race teams can move if needed, and thus the importance of Prime's involvement in the sport. I was able to pick up this copy in March at Martinsville Speedway on behalf of my brother, (the model is his) before the spring race. The livery makes use of the more recent HMS paint scheme forumla to use simple, big, and blocky details. The car features a white base, but is over 50% Pantone 2995C or "Amazon Prime Blue." It features both both blue and white numbers, and also displays other primary sponsors in associate sponsor sections. The car is based on Lionel's EL casting, so it's not shoddy in proaction. It should be noted that it's quite rare to see any Coke-cola, or Coke-cola related brands present on any Nascar products. It's nice to see their logo present on the car. My least favorite detail is in the exhaust pipes, which are incorrectly Pantone 2995C. It's a nice looking car otherwise, and I look forward to seeing it on track in 2025.
