The real thing: the No. 71 team prepares to bring their car through technical inspection at Charlotte Motor Speedway ahead of the exhibition race at Bowman Gray in February of 2025. (Photograph courtesy of Spire Motorsports/Jayski.com). Notes: Anytime a new primary sponsor comes onboard, race fans pay attention. It creates awesome opportunities for new schemes. The Workforce livery which has been used three times this year at Bowman Gray, Phoenix, and Richmond respectively, features big bold white and blue flourishes on a dark navy base. Lionel Racing did a really nice job with the recreation, but the light blue color accents are really off. This is unfortunate because we don't get too many Michael McDowell cars each year. The good news is that there aren't any production issues that I can find, and the car itself is sharp even with the color palette error. This car was released in September of 2025. Sources:
