Notes: Even as a kid, I never owned a Dale Earnhardt 1/64 diecast. I owned several cars, but you never even saw Dale Sr. cars at stores. Having this car and opening it was really surreal. It was also humbling when you realize what an incredible legacy and story Dale Sr. gave us. The car is certainly top notch for a model from 1999. I especially like the silver deck lid that commemorates Dale's 25th season. He drove this paint scheme 19 times in 1999, and won in this livery at Talladega in the spring. This is one of my favorite throwback photoshoots of the year. Enjoy. Sources:
