Ty Gibbs continues to find his way in the Cup series in 2025. While he's still searching for that first win, there have still be some moments of growth for the young company man. Back in July, Gibbs was able to persevere through the chaotic and interesting in-season challenge. He succeeded by finishing in front of the other finalist, Ty Dillon at Indy. SAIA has joined on as a big JGR partner this year, and the red and white Camry has been at many races. For a closer look at Ty's 2025 SAIA Toyota Camry, read on...

When Tony Stewart and Gene Haas confirmed that their joint venture, Stewart Haas Racing would cease to exist after the 2024 season, it left each of their four Cup drivers wondering what could be next. With the retirement of Martin Truex Jr., a new opportunity at a top team was enough to recruit Chase Briscoe to JGR for the 2025 season. With one win so far, the No. 19 team has made a bid to compete for a championship. For a closer look at Chase Briscoe's  2025 JGR Camry, read on...

Gold Line: Shane van Gisbergen '2025 Red Bull' Chevy

A few weeks back I received a copy of Connor Zilisch's 2025 Red Bull Chevy. I've been eagerly awaiting the car's fleet mate in SVG's No. 88 Red Bull Chevy. That car has finally arrived. The car comes mounted on a plastic base, and I spent a few minutes last evening doing some minor surgery to free her from it. Now that the car can sit on four wheels, it seemed like a good time to take a few photos for the blog. SVG has run this scheme four times this year so far. For a closer look at this 1/64 scale example, read on...

Red Bull is back in Nascar in a major way. A few years ago, Shane van Gisbergen, adorned a Red Bull logo on his helmet as he won at the new Chicago Street Course for the inaugural event. Little did we know at the time that Shane and Trackhouse along with a truly special prospect in Connor Zilisch would bring the popular energy drink associated brand back into the highest level of racing in America. Red Bull will exclusively represent Zilisch during his fur Cup starts during the 2025 season, and the first Red Bull diecast in years has arrived. For more....

Gold Line: 2025 Darlington Program Car

A widely undiscussed topic of 1/64 scale diecast cars is the Program Car category. Program cars are interesting because they can be both rare, and highly sought after. Nascar has been selling program cars for decades, and the practice goes back to the diecast heyday of the late 90's. That business has certainly slowed over the years, but unless you've been to a race, program cars may be something new to you, or you may not be aware of some of the historical details that are preserved by them. Team Caliber: Kurt Busch '02 Rubbermaid/Sharpie' Ford

By 2002, Kurt Busch had fully arrived in the Cup series. The third season of his career was technically also his first full season. In 2001, Busch missed one race due to a suspension after an altercation with Jimmy Spencer. So, in 2002, Busch raced in all 36 events, and won four of them. Between 2002 and 2005, Busch would win 14 races behind the wheel of the number 97 Ford, and he's had fewer partners as significant as Rubbermaid and Sharpie. For a closer look at this Roush Racing Ford, read on...

Hasbro: Tony Stewart '1999 Home Depot' Pontiac

Tony Stewart made history in 1999. As a rookie in the Cup series, no driver had ever won three races. To this day, just Stewart, and Jimmy Johnson (2002) can claim such a feat. This little model, which was made by Hasbro under the Winner's Circle brand in 2000, features Stewart's '99 Pontiac Grand Prix complete with rookie stripes. The Home Depot would sponsor Stewart for another 15 years and the orange and white number 20 is now Nascar lore. For a closer look, read on...

Gold Line: Shane Van Gisbergen '24 Wendy's' Chevy

Kaulig Racing fielded three cars in 2024. The 13, the 16, and the 31. The 16 was piloted by five different drivers, one of them being Shane Van Gisbergen. SVG participated in twelve races of the 2024 season. While he wasn't able to recapture the magic from his 2023 Chicago victory, he still had some great moments. Wendy's sponsored Van Gisbergen three times during the 2024 season, the first of those events was the spring Talladega race. Shane finished 28th, but brought the car home on the lead lap. For a closer look at this one-off Chevy, read on...

Gold Line: Corey Lajoie '24 Schluter Systems' Camaro

The 2024 season was perhaps the most tumultuous of Corey Lajoie's career, but also it was the most transitional season any driver has faced in recent  memory. It's not often in the Cup series that drivers trade seats, or are effectively traded between teams. After 29 races a deal would be done between Spire Motorsports and Rick Ware Racing that would send Lajoie to the 51, and would bring Justin Haley to the number 7 Camaro. Long time Lajoie partner, Schluter Systems rode with Lajoie on both teams. For a closer look, read on...

Mark Martin's illustrious career in the Nascar Cup series spans an impressive 31 years. His impact on the sport parallels the names of Gordon, Petty, and Earnhardt. Perhaps his most memorable car over the years is his number 6, Valvoline Roush Racing Ford Taurus. In 1998 he won a career high, seven races. As impressive as that was, it was success at the worst time, because Jeff Gordon was also having the best season of his career and had won 13 races solidifying the Championship. For a closer look at this Racing Champions 1/64 replica read on...
